To Birth or Not to Birth?

The question is asked at every holiday, social gathering, and whenever you are out and see a new mom and her tiny baby. Do you want kids? Are you going to have kids? As a woman who just hit 30... this question has been at the forefront of my mind for years already and has just started to flash neon lights at me saying, "WHAT DO YOU WANT?" Well, I still don't know if I want to have kids or not. Many friends of mine have mixed feelings about having kids, just like I do. We all like our lives the way they are, but that lingering thought lives rent free. Should I have kids or not? Yesterday, I was sitting at a coffee shop and watching all of the stay at home moms have their coffee and gush over each other's babies and it got me thinking, do they see me and wish that they made a different life choice? What if all of us are just constantly wanting and wondering how life would be on the other side? I think that, as humans, we will always wonder if the grass is greener on the other side. But how will we ever know?
